Pretty Chill Tunes
Music that will jossle up your day.
Through the eyes and ears of an LAS undergrad suffering from the endless daydreams of zombie uprisings, preferable zombie killing playlists (mine primarily being Every Time I Die chased with Frank Sinatra), and whatever else I could be thinking about other than homework (such as writing this article), one must sometimes acknowledge the mere role of a student.
To get my mind back to supposedly important matters, I listen to a Grooveshark playlist consisting entirely of conductor Eric Whitacre. The pure harmonious sound he is able to produce from his choirs along with the blissful melodies he composes captures the true More >
So those of you that are reading this article may have many different opinions of Coldplay. Personally, I’m a big fan. I’ve loved all their albums and was extremely excited for their new album to come out towards the end of the year. However, as Coldplay has released some songs from their new albums its become apparent that they have basically sold out.
Everyone has heard of Mike Posner by now. However, half of everyone still doesn’t know how to pronounce his name right, and still thinks Cooler Than Me is his best song. I will firmly disagree with that statement, but that is for another post.
This is about Mike Posner’s awesome remixes. Remixing seems to be one of his jams, and I’m loving it. A lot of them are better than the originals. Check out my 6 favorite Mike Posner Remixes below:Mike Posner Version Original Song 1.) Still Not Over You ft. Eric Holljes Over My Head By The Fray 2.) Rolling More >
I came across this mixtape on DatPiff the other day. It had over a 100k downloads so naturally I had to check it out. I had never heard of Curren$y before, (Apparently I’ve been wasted b/c he has been releasing a steady flow of albums and mixtapes since 2006.) but was pretty impressed by his beats and flow. Now I know I don’t really have anything to compare it to, given that I haven’t heard his other music, but this mixtape has some awesome unique beats. Great to relax and jam too.
I’m going to give the album an exaggerated “4-Stars”: More >
Eric Church has been a favorite artist of mine for a few years now. And as the only guy on Jossles who likes country music, I feel it is my responsibility to introduce and highlight the great new artists that are coming out right now. Eric Church has been around for a few years now, his first album came out in 2006, and his third CD, Chief, came out over the summer.
He is starting to get a few songs on the radio like “Homeboy” and “Love Your Love the Most”, and he is currently on More >
Crazy fight between Georgetown and the Bayi Rockets during an exhibition game. I am a bit concerned… (more…)
This is an awesome compilation of crazy extreme feats. I went skydiving earlier this summer, and I feel that I walked across the street compared to this stuff.
The song is Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine
